How deposit bonuses, sign-up credits, and referral rewards work.
A bonus is not free money. Every bonus carries a turnover requirement, an expiry, and a list of eligible contests. This route explains the three common bonus types and the clauses that matter most.

Three bonus types
Each works differently. Read the small print before you commit a deposit.
Deposit match
The operator matches your first deposit up to a cap (often 100% to ₹5,000). The bonus carries a turnover requirement — typically 5x to 20x the bonus amount — before withdrawal.
Sign-up credit
A small free credit (₹25 to ₹500) credited on registration. Usually limited to specific contests and a short expiry window (7 to 30 days).
Referral reward
A credit when a referred friend makes a qualifying deposit. Both the referrer and the referred friend receive the credit; the same turnover rules apply.
The five clauses to read
Read these before you tap “claim”.
| Clause | What it means | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Turnover | The number of times you must play through the bonus before withdrawal. | 5x turnover on a ₹1,000 bonus means you must wager ₹5,000 before you can withdraw. |
| Eligible contests | Which contests contribute to turnover. | Some operators exclude free-entry contests from turnover counting. |
| Minimum odds | Minimum entry fee for a contest to count toward turnover. | A high minimum odds shrinks the contests where the bonus can be used. |
| Expiry | The window in which you must complete the turnover. | An expired bonus is forfeited; check the clock. |
| Withdrawal cap | The maximum amount you can withdraw from bonus-derived winnings. | Some operators cap withdrawal from bonus funds at the bonus amount. |
The desk’s read
Two editorial principles.
A bonus is not free money
The turnover requirement and the eligible-contest list usually make the bonus less generous than the headline number. Read the table above before you commit a deposit.
Set the budget before the bonus
The bonus should not change your entertainment budget. The deposit cap you set before the bonus is the cap that should still hold after the bonus.
